With a family of 160 million registered users, Flipkart is now entering into the Insurance business along with Aegon Life. With this partnership, Flipkart will now offer the insurance policy of Aegon Life to its customers. Flipkart has over 160 million registered users. It may be a great opportunity for Flipkart since the study shows people are more likely to buy digital services online more frequently.
The market penetration of Life Insurance in India is still low at 3.7% (2018-2019) as compared to the global average of 6%, which is a great opportunity for the digital marketplace giant.
The price will range from INR 1 Lacs to INR 10 Lacs for Indian consumers.
